Beautiful Bisbee!

Well, the Bisbee adventure has come and gone!

Our caravan enjoyed breakfast at the 5 and Diner then headed out for the Desert Sonora Museum

just south of Tucson. The animals and plants were stunning, with much of the desert foliage in

vibrant bloom. Lunch at the museum was the perfect end to the long walks along the desert trails

at the museum’s gardens. Afterwards, we gathered up and hit the road again, Bisbee bound.

A common theme of all Lamba Car Club events … Eating!

We pulled in safely at the Shady Dell after a beautiful drive joining fellow club members who had

arrived earlier. Our shiny accommodations were prepared and we began the task of unloading and

resting up for our night out at The Café Roka – a fun and delicious experience! 30+ contented and

full guys managed the three flights of stairs down and out of the Café and back to the Shady Dell

for a night of much needed rest.

The next morning brought the early risers out for coffee around the Dell while some strolled around

the corner and up the hill to the Bisbee Breakfast Club for a delicious breakfast.

After our good nights rest and refilling our tanks (always eating!) some of the group enjoyed the

Queens Mine tour and others headed downtown for browsing, shopping, sightseeing and ,of

course, lunch. Meanwhile, back at the Shady Dell, Chefs John Migliaro and Manny Amato were

hard at work. Not only had they planned a feast, but had hauled all the fixin’s and equipment with

them. After our hard day of shopping, John and Manny treated us to appetizers, salads, steaks

and more! The big finale came with Roberto presenting Roger with a huge birthday cake (we

understand a fire permit was required for the candles…).

Again sufficiently full and relaxed, some of us chose to lounge around, some crashed and burned

and a few brave souls sought out the Pimp and Ho Ball. Finally, Sunday morning, after yet another

delicious meal at the Bisbee Breakfast Club, we loaded up and hit the road. The journey home was

long but uneventful – a few of us even made a short pit stop in Tombstone - and a good time was

had by all!
